GLENN JONASSON Glenn Jonasson passed away peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cathy; infant daughter Aleah, daughter Laura, mother Emily Jonasson, sister Wendy (Dexter), brothers, Lyle (Debbie), Kevin, Wesley (Sandy), nieces and nephews, Erin, Mark, Reid, Dana and Kate. He was predeceased by his father Bjossi and stepdaughter Jenna. Glenn was born in Winnipeg on October 7, 1957 and spent his childhood in Arborg before his family moved to the farm in Vidir in 1969. He enjoyed many years of farming with his family before moving back to Arborg and working with Johnson Seeds, where he gained many good friends. Glenn will be remembered for his good nature and patience with anything that came his way. Family was important to Glenn; he was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and son-in-law. Glenn was determined to see the arrival of his daughter Aleah and hold her in his arms. He surpassed all expectations and lived long enough to see his daughter smile, hear her laugh and enjoy many cuddles. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Beukes for his care and concern over the last few months. Thanks also to the staff at the Arborg Hospital and homecare workers. A memorial service will be held at the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church in Arborg, Manitoba on Monday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glenn's memory can be made to the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church or to the Arborg and District Health Centre.
