GORDON ANDREW KAAKE

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON ANDREW KAAKE It is with great sadness and deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father on Monday, March 24, 2008, at the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 78 years. Remaining to forever cherish Gordon's memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Audrey; daughter Cathy; brother Herbert (Gertrude); sisters, Lucille and Phyllis (George); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mildred Kaake. Gordon was born in Spring Creek, Saskatchewan on January 23, 1930. He worked on the family farm in Saskatchewan before coming to Winnipeg in 1955, working first for the T. Eaton Co. and then for Winnipeg Transit for 24 years, retiring in 1990. Gordon retired to Kelowna, BC in 1992 before returning to Winnipeg in 1997. He married Audrey (Nelms) in 1963 and devoted his life to being a loving husband and father. In compliance with Gordon's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Special thanks to the paramedics for their prompt response and valiant efforts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6. In our hearts forever.
