Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL (JACKSON) FEWCHUK Peacefully on March 26, 2008 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Michael Fewchuk, aged 86 years, of Kirkness, MB. Mike was predeceased by his wife, Edna in 1959, his parents Peter and Polly and brothers, John (Annie) and Bill (Mildred). He leaves surviving two sons, Rick (Debbie) of Selkirk and Robert (Pam) of Kirkness; grandchildren, Kara (Joe), Kristy, Robert, Nicole, Brittany, Bretton, Tanner and Jared; one great-granddaughter Kaitlyn; a brother Nick (Martha) Fewchuk; a brother-in-law Ernie Fontaine; a sister-in-law Doris Kozub; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike had worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mills for 42 years and enjoyed 22 healthy years of retirement. He loved being outside working around the yard and garden. He enjoyed cooking and would have the whole family for supper and he would cook everything, especially his famous cabbage rolls. Mike lost his wife at an early age and with the help of his parents (when he was at work) raised his two boys. He was proud of his family, his sons, grandchildren, brothers and their families and he loved them very much. He was always there for family or friends when needed, from giving rides, to fixing things or just advice. He loved the challenge of fixing things and could always figure out a way to make them work. Special thanks to the Selkirk Home Care, Dr. Elbardisy, and the nurses and staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for all their excellent care. At his request cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at the Little Britain Churchyard at a later date. You will be forever in our hearts And in our memories.
