Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTONIUS HENDRIKUS ELANDS March 24, 1931 March 27, 2008 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad and grandpa, Antonius (Tony) Elands on March 27, 2008. He leaves to mourn wife Dorothea, children, John (Lorraine), Christine (Ron), grandchildren, Heather (Jorge), Michelle (Mike), Josh, Robert and Samantha, sister Johanna, brother and sister-in-law Jos and Toke, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Tony enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, golfing with his family and friends, and woodworking - especially intarsia - in which he created many beautiful works that will be enjoyed by family and friends for years to come. Tony took great pride and joy in his family, and treasured every moment they had together. Some of his favourite years were spent at his cabin near Lac du Bonnet, where he spent much of his time, especially after retirement. A memorial service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (one block south of the Canadian Mint) on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the W.R.H.A. Palliative Care Education Fund, c/o Room A8024, 409 Tache Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 2A6. The family would like to extend special thanks to all of the staff in palliative and home care that tended to Tony's needs in the end. You are all very special people, and we appreciate everything you did for him. We love and miss you, dad. Here's hoping you're having one on us . We'll see you in Squaw Lake in the Spring and we'll have one together. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Winnipeg, MB R2J 4J4
