Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHUNTER DARREN PHILP VERHOSKI-MACKIE With loving family by his side, our little Hunter passed peacefully in his Mom and Dad's arms on March 30, 2008, at Children's Hospital NICU. Left to cherish his memory are mother Mary-Lynn Verhoski, father Christopher Crawford Mackie, big brother Noah, baba Adele Verhoski, grandparents Craig and Jane Mackie, uncles Robin Mackie (Tamara and Mairin), Michael Mackie, great-grandparents Philip and Lyn Isaac, Gordon and Marguerite Mackie, great-grandfather Gido and special great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and friends. Hunter was born March 14, 2008, and though his time with us was cut short, his comical character shone through, entertaining all family and hospital staff with his coy little smirk. He was a fighter, but lost the fight and suffers no more. The family wishes to thank the NICU unit at the Children's Hospital, with special mention of gratitude to Dr. B.J. Hancock, Dr. M. Seshia, Dr. J. Grabowski, Dr. K. Agyampoh and nurses Marlene, Janet R., Lorna, Gieta, Camille, Michelle H., Kim S. and the rest of the Angels in the unit. The celebration of life will be held at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., on Friday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be considered for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Children's Hospital.
