Date of Passing: Mar 20, 2008
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN JOHN BUDINSKY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan John Budinsky on Thursday, March 20, 2008, in Vancouver, British Columbia, after a long battle with cancer. Allan was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, on June 23, 1950. He was predeceased by his father Nestor Budinsky in 1977. He is survived by his mother Alyce, brothers David and Don (Daphne), nephews Alex and Nick, numerous relatives and friends. Allan grew up in Winnipeg and graduated from the University of Winnipeg with the Bachelor of Arts and subsequently obtained a Certificate in Education from the University of Manitoba. He worked in the construction industry and was an active member in his union, focusing on workers compensation, safety and health. He also served as Secretary on the Executive. He especially enjoyed listening to classical music, reading a wide variety of literature and non-fiction and spending time with family and friends. In 1995 Allan moved to Vancouver. Even though Vancouver is a very beautiful place, and some call it Canada's paradise, Allan would almost always return to Winnipeg during the summer and the Christmas season. The family wishes to thank all of Allan's aunts, his uncle, cousins and friends for their kindness, care and love. Special thanks to Wayne and Monique Nazervich for their extraordinary support to Allan over the years. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
