ROBINA (RUBY) MANN LOVE (nee LAMB) October 1, 1919 - March 29, 2008 On the evening of March 29, 2008 at the West Park Manor, the angels came and took Ruby, our beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother to Heaven where she joins her husband Jim (1993), son Bill (2007) and daughter Nancy Austinson (2007). She was also predeceased by her parents Isabella and William Lamb and siblings Alex, Herbert, Lillian, Bill and Winston. Mom leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Sheila (Doug) Rodgers, Sandra (Bob) Jackson, Fran (Ron) Martens and daughter-in-law Kathy Love. She also leaves numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her sister Hazel Condy. Ruby was born in Dundee Scotland and moved to Winnipeg as an infant. She grew up in the West End of Winnipeg graduating from Daniel MacIntyre Collegiate and worked for Jeanne's Bakery and Eaton's before her marriage to Jim on January 12, 1946. With the exception of six years in Shilo she continued to reside and raise her family in the West End until her recent move into the West Park Manor. Mom was a kind, caring and peaceful person and her family was her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. No matter what the situation Mom always saw the good. If you asked her how she was she'd always answer Just fine, thank-you . While her passing leaves a huge void in our lives, we all know she has gone to a better place. A special thanks to the staff at West Park Manor for their care and kindness and compassion especially during recent times. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery.
