DR. ROBERT WALTER CROSS After a valiant struggle with cancer, Bob Cross passed away peacefully April 4, 2008 at Concordia Hospital. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Eleanor; sister-in-law Eileen Kahle and brother-in-law Jack Kahle; brother David Cross and sister-in-law Diane; niece Sharon Sankar and her husband Vijay and their daughters, Diana and Evelyn; sister Elizabeth Cross; nephew Christopher Hanna and his daughter Kayli. His nephew Steven Cross predeceased Bob in 1996. A loving husband, a respected teacher, principal and administrator, Bob touched many lives. He will be greatly missed. Bob's favorite quote was written by Leonardo da Vinci: When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward. For there you have been, and there you will always long to return. The family would like to extend their gratitude to staff at Manitoba CancerCare and Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care. According to Bob's wishes a private family service will be held. Flowers and charitable donations are gratefully declined.
