THOMAS CLARENCE MANITOPYES May 1, 1947 - April 4, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Clarence Manitopyes announces his passing after a lengthy illness with cancer. He is survived by his wife Shirley and children, Dustin, Tommy, Christopher, Kyle, Destiny and stepchildren, Garry, Cynthia, Tara and grandchildren. His daughter Loretta and grandchildren from a previous union. His mother Irene Manitopyes, brothers and sisters June, Gilbert (Sandra), Gerald (Sharyn), Arlene (Doug), Loretta, Marie, Steven (Nina), Kenny and Helen. Tommy will also be fondly remembered by all his relatives of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention here. Tommy was predeceased by his grandparents, his father Jerry Manitopyes, sisters, Geraldine and Marlene and brother Albert. Tommy enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends. He spent much of life in the western provinces and even bicycled from Winnipeg through Saskatchewan all the way up to Edmonton while he was in his mid-fifties. We love you and miss you and we will see you again. A celebration of life will begin with a traditional wake at the Thunderbird House, 715 Main Street on Monday, April 7 at 6:00 p.m. until Tuesday, April 8 at 12:00 midnight. Interment will take place at Muskowekwan First Nation, Lestock, SK. Prairieland Aboriginal Funeral Home in care of arrangements. 447 Selkirk Avenue 1-866-661-7575 or 226-7581.

  • I have a lot of memories of Tommy, one in particular, of how he's always going to value village and scoring something good. Anyway it was my 29th birthday and what he got for I'll never forget​. He took the time to get a shirt for me, he threw it at me and as he did he said" don't you wish you were that age again?" Lol it was a #22 Green Bay Packers shirt. I still have that shirt.
