Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES ANAKA (nee CHORNOMUD) February 24, 1919 - April 4, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, with her family at her side, at the Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 89. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ronald (Diane) and Craig (Diane); six grandchildren, Kim (Guy), Kelly (Tim), Chantal (Pieter), Cory (Carolyn), Doreen and Alexander; seven great-grandchildren, Matthew, Brent, Daniel, Mallory, Kayleigh, Ashley, Amy, and two great-great-grandchildren, James and Leland. Also left to remember her are her brothers, George (Mary), Ted (Lou); sisters, Sally, Joey (Victor), as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Agnes was predeceased by her husband John; her mother Lena; father Nikolai; sister Ann and brothers, John and William. For 50 plus years Mom was a great hairdresser and all her customers were her friends. Her family was very important to her and she loved each and every one of us. She enjoyed entertaining and being a great cook. Many people enjoyed fabulous meals with her. If you went to visit and left hungry it was your own fault as she would make a huge spread of various dishes. Mom had a green thumb and her flower gardens showed it. She was always surrounded and protected by her angels. Her loving heart will be missed by her family and friends. Thank you Mom for always being there for your family. Mom had a lot of faith in God and has been a member of Sturgeon Creek United Church for many years. Thank you to the nurses and doctors at Grace Hospital and the staff at Oak View for their care of our Mom. The family wishes to thank each and every one of you for all your prayers, support, visits and love shown to our Mother. Cremation has taken place according to Mom's wishes. The memorial service will be held Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Dr., with interment to follow in the Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave., 885-9715. In lieu of flowers, friends please make a donation to a charity of your choice. My life on earth is truly past. I've loved you all to the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take, And love one another for my sake. Love Mom
