Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEATRICE GAWRYLUK Peacefully, and surrounded by her family and caregivers, Beatrice Gawryluk passed away with dignity on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Kildonan Personal Care Home at the age of 76. Beatrice was a warm, kind, generous and loving person who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Darcia (Bob), sister Betty Kiyan and her family, aunt Emily Dziedzic and numerous cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2005 and her parents Mike and Mary Stadnyk. Beatrice was born at Sundown, Manitoba on July 11, 1931 and attended Ridgeland School. Her family then moved to the small community of Overstoneville and Beatrice continued her education at Zelota School and Tolstoi High School. She began her working career at a young age spending 24 years as a cashier at Shop Easy and IGA, then took an upgrading business course (1977) and retired from Turnbull and Turnbull Actuaries. Beatrice married Jack Gawryluk in 1966, they enjoyed their summers at various cottages in Manitoba where she loved to play cards and entertain family and friends. Beatrice had a wonderful sense of humour and quite often had the staff at Kildonan in stitches with her witty comments. Beatrice's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Kildonan Medical Centre who went out of their way for many years and went above and beyond what was expected of them to see that her medical needs were met. Darcia and Betty would like to thank the caring, special people at Kildonan Personal Care Home for welcoming Bea into their family. They had pet names for her: Dolly, Queen Bea, Bronia and many others that just don't come to mind at this time of sadness. They loved her as we did and that was so evident during her last days when their special caring ways took on yet another dimension. They not only saw to Mom's every need, they treated her with the dignity and love they would have their own. We can never express how grateful we are for that love and compassion in her last days and hours. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Beatrice's life will be held Thursday, April 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Lunch to follow. Interment at the Chapel of Serenity- Glen Eden- Everyone welcome. You will always be loved and in our hearts forever.
