Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENDRIK KOOY Suddenly, on Saturday, April 5, 2008 the Lord took Hendrik Kooy home where he now lays in peace, knowing that he will one day see us again. Hendrik left many precious memories for his friends and family to cherish and keep warm in their hearts. Hendrik has two sisters in Edmonton, Alberta: Flora (Wolfgang) and Elizabeth. In the Netherlands is his sister Bertha (Oebele) and a brother Johannes (Annie). Hendrik also has many nieces and nephews who will miss him as well. His companion/fiancé, Kathy Desjardins, will miss him deeply; she cherishes the warm memories and feels so very blessed that the Lord brought them together. He will, as well, be missed by long time friends, Kathleen, Anita Opar and his two special buddies, John Twerdoochlib and Victor Fabbari. He was predeceased by his mother Pieterje van der Horst and father Fokko Jan Kooy. Born on April 22, 1927 in Surhuisterveen, Netherlands, Hendrik attended Church of the Open Door which was very special in his life; his friends there will certainly keep him in their prayers. We will Celebrate Hendrik's life on Tuesday, April 22, at 3:00 p.m. in the Canadian Polish Manor, 300 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba. Please try to take some time from your busy schedules to come and Celebrate with us. KEEP THE FAITH! BEHOUDT JE GELOOF!
