Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ELDER HART Ed.D (Columbia), LL.D. (Manitoba) Peggy passed away April 2, 2008 in Ottawa, at the age of 100. Born in Winnipeg, June 11, 1907. Predeceased by sisters, Agnes Hart and Isabella (Jo) Borrowman (Ralph). Dr. Margaret Hart was educated at the Winnipeg General Hospital and Columbia University. She devoted her professional life to public health nursing and nursing education at the University of Manitoba where she served as Director of the School of Nursing for 24 years. She was especially proud of her Canada Centennial Medal, her doctorate of laws degree and professor emeritus status from the University of Manitoba, and the Ethel Johns Award from CASN. Service April 13, 2008 in Ottawa at the Colonel By Retirement Residence. In Memoriam donations may be made to the Margaret Elder Hart Graduate Studies Award at the University of Manitoba.
