FRED KLIM On Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, Fred Klim, aged 90 years passed away. He is survived by his wife Eva, of 64 years; his sons, Ron (Linda) and Ken (Donna); four grandchildren, David Klim, Danny Klim (Kristie), Brian Klim (Julie) and Melanie Loutit (Magnus); great-grandchildren, Tyler, Riley, Kenadie, Adriana, Amber, Andy, Alex and Macey. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Anne Wetyk (Harry) and Mary Bidochka and many nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his parents Onofrey and Ann; brothers, Steve and John, and brother-in-law Nick Bidochka. Fred was born in Brokenhead, MB and later moved to Semple where he farmed with his father. Fred was later employed by Manitoba Rolling Mills for 33 years retiring in 1979. He enjoyed doing mechanical work and carpentry throughout his life. He built his own home as well as the homes of his sons and helped in the remodeling of his grandchildren's homes. Fred enjoyed traveling and camping throughout Canada, U.S.A and Europe. One of his favourite pastimes was fishing up North with his sons and grandchildren. Pallbearers are Danny Klim, David Klim, Brian Klim, Magnus Loutit, Ed Gayda and Jerry Gayda. Funeral Services will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at the St. Clements Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
