LAWSON EYMAN On Thursday, April 3, 2008 Lawson Eyman passed away peacefully at the Surrey General Hospital, Surrey, BC. Lawson is survived by his beloved wife Lorraine, son Dean and daughter Leanne Tweedlie (Douglas). He was a loving Afi to grandchildren Kathleen, Brian and Olivia Tweedlie and Hanna and Lawson Eyman. He is also survived by his sister Olive Kurbis and her family of Winnipeg, as well as by cousins and friends in Manitoba. Lawson was born on August 14, 1934, in Selkirk, Manitoba and was the son of the late Grimur and Lily Eyman. He lived in Selkirk until he joined the RCMP in January 1954. Lawson worked in a number of detachments in BC throughout his 35 years of devoted service. He retired in 1989 as a Superintendent of the Province of BC E Division. A celebration of Lawson's life was held at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in White Rock, BC, on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. This included the RCMP Vets group serving as Honor Guards, and members of Lawson's Studebaker Car Club drove his 1964 Studebaker Hawk in the Procession.
