Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL (MISHA) KRAVTSOV 1934 - 2008 Peacefully on April 8, 2008 Michael (Misha) Kravtsov passed in his sleep at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Susan; his son Sam (Natasha) Kravtsov; his daughter Yana (Ron) Sigurdson; his grandchildren, Zachary, Sarah and Joshua all of Winnipeg; his sister Rifa (Bob) Hodgson of Roberts Creek, BC and his niece Sonja Kuznetsov of Vancouver; and many loving friends. Michael is predeceased by his parents Alexander and Sarah Kravtsov. Michael was born in Odessa August 26, 1934. Michael was ill over the past few years, but always put on a happy face. He trained as a Metallurgical Engineer in Moscow, Russia. Michael immigrated with his family to Winnipeg, in 1977. He worked at Matador Converters for 20 years until his retirement in 1999. He and his wife also ran Mr. Quick Shoe Repair on Donald Street, for 10 years where he learned the art of a shoe cobbler. His life was filled with adventure as a young man, and he always enjoyed putting on a show or skit for others. He loved music, photography, metal work, carpentry and tools of any kind. He touched the lives of many people in the community. Michael, you will be sadly missed and forever remembered. Your strength and determination of life is an inspiration to us and to all who knew you. A funeral service was held at Chesed Shel Emes on Thursday, April 10, 2008 with a burial at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff that helped Michael both at St. Boniface Hospital where he passed, and all the other health care professionals that he had met in the past five years, the staff at Chesed Shel Emes and all who came to pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
