ROBERT (BOB) MANTIK Peacefully, with his family by his side, Bob passed away on April 8, 2008 at Concordia Hospital. Bob was born on October 12, 1935 in Winnipeg. Bob leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Suzanne; children Bill, Barb and Ron, daughters and son-in-law Rosalee, Christine and Dan Defoort, along with seven wonderful grandchildren: Jessica, Wesley, Samantha, Ian, Eric, Nathan and Katelyn whom he cared about dearly. Bob also leaves his sister Isabel Kiesman (Henry), brother Donald Mantik (Lyla), sister Margarete Nogue (Paul), sisters-in-law Linda Mantik and Glenda Mantik, sister and brother-in-law David (Florence) Matthews as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Dad was predeceased by his mother Marjorie, father Roy, step-father Julius, brothers Norman and Teddy and sister Yvonne. A private family internment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Dad was a simple man who lived life to the fullest.
