Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEUGENE CLEMENT PHILLEY It is with sadness the family of Eugene Clement Philley announce his last trip on April 6, 2008 at the Grace Hospital. He was born on April 28, 1923 in Watson, Sask. He was predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Helen, and his brother Lorne. His wife Marcelle passed away in 2004. Eugene is survived by his sons Michael (Gail) and Douglas (Bonny) and grandchildren Liam, Sarah, Travis and Christopher. He also leaves his sisters Lois Kennedy, Betty Philley and Erla Rudd. Eugene served in the Royal Canadian Navy in the Second World War. He married Marcelle in Halifax. After the war he attended University in Saskatoon. He moved his wife and sons to Montreal in 1953 where he started his career with Shawingan Chemicals. Eugene and Marcelle loved to travel and in their latter years, enjoyed the company of their two pups - Laddie and Boots. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, April 17 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Grace Hospital for all their care and compassion of Dad.
