VERONICA (RONNIE) JUNE BORCIK January 29, 1945 - April 9, 2008 Peacefully on April 9th, 2008 at the age of 63, Veronica June Borcik passed away with her family by her side at Concordia Hospital. Ronnie was predeceased by her parents Joe and Lena Sanek, and father-in-law Mike Borcik. Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill, daughters Wendy (Richard) and Brenda (Dave), grandchildren Nicholas and Brittany, brothers Brian (Elaine) and Steve, and sister Kim (Darrel), mother-in-law Emily Borcik and sister-in-law Louise (Bob). She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and many, many close friends. In her early years Ronnie had a passion for baseball and bowling. She played baseball for Kelvin Community Club and she bowled on a league at Roxy lanes. In 1967, Ronnie married the love of her life William Borcik, they raised their family and had 41 wonderful years together. Ronnie loved to spend time with her family, playing bingo, and loved to travel to the U.S. During the summer months she would enjoy time spent at their cottage in Matlock. Ronnie had a real green thumb. She loved gardening, and flowers. Ronnie had a special spot in her heart for birds as could be attested by her many bird houses and feeders she kept. Ronnie ensured time spent with grandchildren was memorable for each of them, although her life has gone her love will linger on, she brought us all sunshine she brought us all love. The family would like to thank the Doctors, nurses and staff in the ICU at Concordia Hospital. Your kindness and dedication was greatly appreciated. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday April 17, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (Manitoba Division).
