DORA BROWNRIDGE (nee MCDONALD) Peacefully on April 1, 2008 Dora Brownridge passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 89. Dora is survived by her daughter Marvie Gordon (Ken) granddaughters Becki and Brianna; brother Edward (Joan); sisters-in-law Eileen (Allan) and Lu (Hugh) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Rebecca and Harper and her brothers David, Hugh, Allan and sister Margaret (Murray Wishart). Born and raised in Portage la Prairie on February 27, 1919 she was an avid golfer and curler. She moved into Winnipeg in 1971 where she worked at the Dental College until her retirement in 1984 at age 65. A devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting them in their various activities. Dora will be remembered as a kind and gracious lady with a thoughtful, generous and loving spirit. Thank you to the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Siloam Mission or Agape Table. A memorial service was held on April 4 at the United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota Street.
