LEONARD PETER GERMANIUK Leonard passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 30, 2008 with his wife Brenda and his sister Vicki by his side. He was a man with several names. As well as his given name Leonard or Len, he was known to some as Johnny, and still more of us knew him as Chester. His parents fondly called him Jonik. Leonard was predeceased by his father John in 1994, his mother Mary in 1996 and his father-in-law Lloyd Gamley in 2007. Leonard is survived by his wife Brenda, his sisters Vicki Todd and Sybil Griffin, his mother-in-law Madge Gamley, his sister-in-law Barb (Jim) Christianson, his brother-in-law Brian (Karen) Gamley, and his brother-in-law Ron Gamley. He is also survived by his niece Brenda (C.R.) Gentry and family Olivia, Carl, Dawson and Ethan; his nephew Wayne (Kellie) Griffin and family Ashley and Rebecca; Brenda's niece Jennifer (Elmer) Gomes and family Payton, Zachary and Lucas; niece Kelly (Dave) Ouellette and family Dawson and Carter; nephew Tim (Lyndsay) Christianson and family Ethan and Evan; nephews Ryan and Sean Gamley; and niece Brittany Gamley. A funeral service was held Thursday, April 3 at White's Funeral Home in Neepawa with pallbearers Orest Kostenchuk, Larry Kostenchuk, Nestor Kostenchuk, Nick Kostenchuk, Eric Kostenchuk and Dennis Kostenchuk. Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery in Neepawa. A special thank you to Vicki and Barb and Jim for their help with Chester's care at home and to the St. Boniface Palliative Nurses and the health care workers. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Each of us in our own special way, Remember you with love today.
