DOROTHY COLE November 20, 1913 - February 22, 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Dorrie at the age of 94 years in the Victoria General Hospital, with family by her side. Left to cherish her memory are her son Christopher (Pat) in Malta; her grandchildren Fiona (Kojo), Helen (Anthony) and Kevin; three great-grandchildren, Mia, Oscar and Grace, all in England, her beloved sister Mabel Aldwinckle (Frank), nieces Pamela Bolton (David), Eleanore Verplaetse (Barry) and nephew Spencer Aldwinckle (Audrey). Dorrie was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1994 and sister Bea Noyes in 1990. Dorrie was born in Southfields, London, England and first came to Canada with her family as a young child in 1919, living in Norwood and attending King George V School. She returned to England in 1935, lived in London during the bombings of the Second World War and was employed making and testing electronics for naval ships. Dorrie married Harry in 1947 and they immigrated to Canada in 1978. Dorrie loved to travel, experiencing our local lakes, Canada from coast to coast, Florida, California, Arizona and Saudi Arabia. According to Dorrie's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a memorial reception celebrating her life on April 16 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Vic Wyatt House, 919 St. Anne's Road.
