Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERTIE BOKOFSKY Passed away peacefully in Toronto on April 11, 2008 after a little more than 90 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leo in 1992, and son Barry Burton in 2002, as well as seven siblings over the years, Gertie is survived by her loving son David Burton and grandson Jonathan Burton. Gertie was born in Alberta, but lived most of her life in Winnipeg. She devoted much of her life to her marriage and child-rearing, but always maintained a keen interest in world and community affairs. Later in life, with her independent spirit, Gertie followed her own path, and she managed her affairs ably, well into her late 80's. Gertie was laid to rest beside Leo in Winnipeg on April 14, 2008. We will miss her very much. Private shiva in Toronto.
