STANLEY RECH With great sadness we announce the passing of Stanley on April 14, 2008 at the Gimli Community Health Center after a brief illness. He leaves to remember him, his wife of 56 years, Irene; daughter Linda (Bill) Storry and grandson Kevin; sons, Ken (Erin) and grandchildren, Stephen and Leslie, and Brian (Sheena) and numerous other relatives and friends. Stanley had served with the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy) during the Second World War. He retired in 1987 after 37 years service with CNR. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli. Interment will follow in the Sts. Cyril Methodius Cemetery, west of Gimli. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RM of Gimli (Skateboard Park), Box 1246, Gimli, MB R0C 1B0. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. R.C. Patel and the staff of Gimli Health Center for their kindness and excellent care. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
