Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL VIOLET GORZEN August 30, 1921 - April 14, 2008 Peacefully, at Grace Hospital, aged 86, Hazel Violet Gorzen (Klemas). Born in Winnipeg, and happily married to devoted husband Peter Gorzen. Predeceased by her parents John and Minnie Klemas, and brothers and sisters, Hilda (Jackie) Anderson, Harley Klemas, Donald Klemas, Pearl Reich, Thelma Svendsen, Irene Macri, Archie and Margaret in infancy, and survived by brother and sisters, Alben Klemas, Elsie Hallick, and Florence St. Onge, and numerous nieces and nephews. Hazel worked her entire career at Whitehall Cleaners and Perth's for 30 years and still kept in close touch with her friends from work. Hazel was always alt the centre of action with a zest for life that made her unforgettable to anyone she met. As a young woman Hazel was easily convinced to babysit her nieces and nephews, and gave them many adventures they never forgot. They loved her straight-up style, and she never tired of endlessly teasing them to laughter. She gleefully taught them how to pull a prank and sometimes ended up the target of those jokes. Hazel loved the home she made with Peter, and took great pleasure in hosting their three parties annually, where they made sure her family and Peter's met and got to know each other. She was a mother hen who generously dispensed her affections to friends and family. We will all miss her unique style and we will cherish our memories of this wonderful woman. A Celebration of Hazel's Life will be held at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, Aubrey Street entrance on Friday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of Hazel's cremated remains to follow.
