MARCEL HENRI JOSEPH COSYNS May 3, 1961- April 16, 2008 After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marcel on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at his home at the age of 46 years. Remaining to forever cherish Marcel's memory are his wife Darla; son Patrick; daughter Lisa; step-children, Melissa (Dale), Tamara, Joseph, Samantha; grandchildren Tesa-Leigh, Nyshell; parents Louis and Cecile Cosyns; brothers Lucien (Laurie), Roger, Leo (Donna Jean); nieces Wendy, Josie, Stephanie, Cassandra, Cailey; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Marcel was predeceased by his niece Jessica. Marcel was born in Winnipeg but was raised in St. Eustache where he did his early schooling. He then finished his schooling at Sturgeon Creek Collegiate with a certificate in welding. He spent many years at Camco until he had the opportunity to become a self employed welding contractor. The last five years were spent at Malach Sheet Metal, where he was loved and respected and was also well known as the Jig Master . Marcel's greatest pleasure was relaxing at the lake where he spent endless hours fishing and chopping wood. In compliance with Marcel's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held, but a gathering for family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 20 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Meadowlea Hall, Marquette, Manitoba (corner of Highways 227 248). Special thanks to go out to everyone at CancerCare, the Palliative Home Care team, Bruce McIvor and all the employees at Malach Sheet Metal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marcel's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermott Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. It isn't always for us to know what our future holds, It is for us to take today and turn it into gold. Let each day we have be filled with love Let kindness be our guide, Not taking for granted the time we have With loved ones by our side. And when the time comes our way and we must part from those we love, we'll have the greatest memories from all the things we've done. Marcel, Now our time has passed And every time we'll see your perfect face, We'll know you'll still be with us your memory will not erase. We love you, my darling, forever and with our saddened hearts, we place you in thy Father's hand Knowing we'll never be apart.
