DONALD CLIFFORD RAMCHARAN August 25, 1921 April 17, 2008 After a long battle with cancer, Don peacefully submitted his spirit to the Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2008. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Elaine, and his children, Gregory, Randall, and Lygia, brother, Ronald (Denise) and sister Katherine (Russell). Don was predeceased by his parents Reverend Henry and mother Martha as well as 13 other siblings. Don came to Winnipeg in 1957 from Trinidad, W.I. to obtain his Education degree and taught first in Gladstone and Dauphin, MB, then at Nelson McIntyre Collegiate in Winnipeg for 25 years. His passion for the Lord was brought out in song as a choir member of 20 years at the Windsor Park United Church. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Home Care and staff of the East Wing of the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre for Don's care. Special thanks also extended to Drs. P.G. Mehta and R. McMahon. A celebration of Don's life will be held at the Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Dr., on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.; refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Windsor Park United Church's Outreach Council. Rest with peace, Don. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO.
