STEFANIE CHIMKO (nee BEREZA) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother and Baba, Stefanie Chimko on April 15, 2008 at 85 years of age. Stefanie will be lovingly remembered by her sons Andrew and John, daughters Tamara (Dean) and Iris (Dan), daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren, Joseph and Angela (Chris), Marcel and Vanessa (Ryan), great-grandchild Liam, nieces, Lyrissa (Brian) and Marta (Robert) and nephew Andrew. Stefanie was predeceased by her husband Theodore (Teddy) on February 8, 1990, her parents Rosalie and Stefan Bereza, her brothers Eugene, Izadore and Vladimir, and sisters Antonina and Olga. Mom was an extremely devoted, generous and loving mother and Baba with a very big heart . Mom and Dad gave up much in their lives to ensure that all of their children and grandchildren never went without the important things in life and they saw to it that all of us stayed in school and got a proper education. We will be forever appreciative of this love and guidance. Mom accepted people from all walks of life and of any race with kindness and respect and she was happiest when she was supplying her family and our friends with meals and welcoming them into our home. Our loss is great but we find peace in knowing that Mom is now together with our dear Father / Djido in Heaven. A service in Mom's memory will be held on Monday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glen Eden Memorial Chapel, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Stefanie's memory may be made to the Children's Heritage Fund, Sisler High School, Winnipeg School Division, 1577 Wall Street, Winnipeg, MB R3E 2S5, The Winnipeg Humane Society or to another charity of one's choice. Rest now Mama, we will love, honour and miss you forever and for always. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.gleneden-mb.ca
