Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA ELAINE HUNT Edna Hunt was born on November 9, 1917 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and passed away March 31, 2008 in Victoria. She was raised in Sanford, Manitoba, attended business college in Winnipeg and worked as a legal secretary in Winnipeg until the mid 1950s. Edna married Frank Hunt in May, 1941. She was predeceased by her husband in 2002; her parents, William and Ethel Flinn, and her sister Doreen Clerihew. Edna is survived by her daughter Joan McFarlane of Winnipeg; son David Hunt of Kingsville, Ontario; grandchildren, Cheryl deMoissac and Tracy Berry of Winnipeg; Serena Hunt and Ian Hunt of Kingsville; great-grandchildren, Jordan Berry and Erin Berry of Winnipeg. Edna and Frank lived in Winnipeg until 1972 and then retired to Victoria for her last 36 years. They enjoyed curling, square dancing and golf. Edna was always interested in current issues and keeping herself and her family informed about health information and living well. At 90 years of age she remained active, enjoying her gardening, piano, her home and her independence. She appreciated the support from her friends, neighbours and the 55-plus Club. A service was held on Wednesday, April 9 in Victoria, BC.
