WILBERT ARTHUR LANGE Peacefully on April 9, 2008, Wilbert (Red) Lange passed away at Beacon Hill Lodge at the age of 83 years. Wilbert is survived by his sons Kerry (Chris) of Winnipeg and Terry (Monica) of Mesa, Arizona and one sister Joan (Allen) Krause. He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Reinhold and Emma Lange, three sisters Alma Beebe, Hannah Dwyer and Alice Krause. Wilbert was born in Ridgeville, MB on September 30, 1924. He was called to Military service in 1943 and served his country in the Second World War in Canada, United Kingdom and North West Europe. Wilbert worked at Canadian Pacific Railway as yard foreman (switchman). After his retirement in 1985, he enjoyed traveling to Europe, Australia and Alaska, as well as annual winter trips to Southern U.S.A. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for their wonderful care and kindness to Red during the short time he was there. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
