At an early age he worked for a dairy farmer delivering milk. In the year 1949 he married Irene. He then worked for Royal Dairies starting with milk delivery then supervisor and in charge of making yogurt. When he left the dairy he started into farming, growing sugar Beets and Grain. After retirement, he drove the courtesy van at Armadale Hollows part-time driving Miss Daisies as we called it. He loved this very much. Ed loved sports, Belgian bowling, ten pin bowling, curling and golf. He enjoyed playing many card games, including cribbage, whist and most of all the Belgian Card Game (Been). His favorite exercise of all was going for long walks. Cremation has taken place and as per his wishes there was a private family service held.
