LOUISE DELONG DAVIS (nee PATTERSON) April 26, 1932 April 11, 2008 The family of Louise Davis sadly announces her peaceful passing at Victoria General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Jack, of almost 55 years, son Glenn (wife Laura), grandsons, Leland and Morgan, daughter Shawna (husband Randy Yaremkiw), granddaughters, Jennifer and Gia Davis-Persaud, step great-grandson Kaden Yaremkiw, son Todd, brother Donald (wife Aline) Patterson and many nephews, nieces and friends. To Mom, her family was the most important thing in her life. She was a great supporter of all her children and grandchildren, always cheering on the sidelines or in the audience. An avid golfer and formidable foe at the bridge table, Mom also enjoyed curling and bowling. Over the years Mom and Dad had the good fortune to travel to many places and enjoyed every adventure, especially those with close friends Doug and Audrey Hill. In recent years one of Mom's favourite journeys was a month long trip she and Dad took to Scotland with her brother Donald and sister-in-law Aline. She will be missed. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and staff on the 4th floor at the Victoria Hospital for the loving care they provided to Mom. Service to take place at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway on Monday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to CancerCare Manitoba.
