AMANDA DAWN ROSS June 13, 1980 April 13, 2008 After a courageous battle with Renal Failure, Amanda passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her side. Remaining to forever cherish Amanda's memory are her mother Susan (Gord) Edginton; father Earl (Karen) Ross; brothers, Bob (Kim), Brett (Rhonda), Kevin (Christine), Kurtis; sister Michelle; nieces, Hailey, Alycia; as well as Tess, Drew and her best friends the Bassets , plus all her other family and friends. Amanda was born and raised in St. James. Growing up, Amanda loved spending time with her family and friends and was a devoted Blue Bomber Fan. She graduated from Silver Heights Collegiate. In her short adult life, Amanda enjoyed reading books, playing bingo, attending dog shows with her Mom, loved doing crafts and spending time with her special girls, Hailey and Alycia. She will be forever missed by everyone that had the pleasure of being touched by our Angel. A memorial service for Amanda was held on Friday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. James Legion #4, 1755 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Amanda's memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (Manitoba Branch), 730 Taylor Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3M 2K8. HER JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN Don't think of her as gone away, Her journey's just begun; Life holds so many facets, This earth is only one. Just think of her as resting From the sorrows and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing That we could know today, How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of her as living In the hearts of those she touched... For nothing loved is ever lost - And she was loved so much.
