NORMA MABLE EMSLIE (nee LACEY) 1915 - 2008 Peacefully on April 15, 2008, Norma Emslie passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 92. Norma was predeceased by her husband Dave Emslie. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Bill (Sharon), Shirley Kats (Kor), Terry (Dianne), Penny Suggitt (Bob), Debbie Myseniuk (Bill), Betty Ploschak (Dennis); 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Norma was born on December 14, 1915 and raised in Brandon, Manitoba. In 1938 Norma married Dave Emslie. Norma raised her children and once they had grown up she went to work as a Homecare Worker. She enjoyed helping others, especially children. Right up to the time of passing little babies brightened her life. Mom was a very active, independent lady, loved to exercise and play bingo. The family wishes to thank Sharon, Jocelyn and all the staff at Thorvaldson Care Home for the wonderful care they gave Mom over the last two years. We also like to thank Lorna, Helen and the rest of the staff on the third floor at the Victoria Hospital for their compassion, kindness and professionalism to Mom and her family. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Pallbearers will be: Michael Emslie, Donald Rosskoph, Nelson Camp, Jennifer Suggitt, Jason Ploschak, and Adam Cameron. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
