FLORENCE ELIZABETH (BETTY) REEVE We are sad to announce that on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, our beloved mom and grandma, Florence Elizabeth (Betty) passed away at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Wesley who died in March of 1976 and baby granddaughter Jennifer on May 28, 1977. She is survived by her son Thomas; daughter Carole; son-in-law Calvin; grandson Jonathan and wife Kristen; and granddaughter Jillian of New Zealand. Betty was born and raised in Brighton, Sussex, England with her mother and grandfather as her father died from wounds from the First World War. Right out of school Betty joined the Woman's Land Army. She helped grow the crops to feed her country as the men were off fighting the enemy. Betty had various jobs in her life. After she arrived in Selkirk she did occupational therapy for the Mental Health Center until she retired at age 65. We the family would like to thank the staff of Betel Home and the staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for all their help. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. In lieu of flowers, Betty would appreciate a donation made in her name to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
