ADELINE (ADDY) ROSE WAYTIUK It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother, Addy Waytiuk, aged 60 years, of Selkirk on April 19, 2008 at the Selkirk General Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. Addy leaves to mourn her loss, her husband Edward; sons Kenneth (Della) and her two special babies granddaughters, Jessica and Meagan and son Jody all of Selkirk; brother Fred (Minnie) of Wabagoon, Ontario; brother Alex (Betty) of Minneapolis, MN; her sister and closest friend Margaret Parenteau of Winnipeg; and her chosen brother Bill Parenteau of Wabagoon, ON. Addy will also be missed by Ed's family; James (Lorette), Lloyd (Brenda), Valdine, and Kelvin all of Selkirk, Allen (Katie) of Calgary and Karl (Cheryl) of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Addy considered all her nieces and nephews as very special and will be greatly missed, especially by Margaret's children and grandchildren Tracy, Shawn, Destin and Leland. Addy was born on August 26, 1947 and grew up in Wabagoon, ON. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Jackson. She met Edward in 1981 and they were married on August 25, 1984. They would have celebrated their 24th anniversary this summer. Addy was employed at the Selkirk Mental Health Center for the last 20 years as a health care aide/psych nursing assistant. She will be missed by her friends and colleagues, especially Jerri Rue. Prayers will be said on Monday (tonight) at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Catholic Church, Selkirk with Fr. Dado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. Her pallbearers will be Lloyd and Kelvin Waytiuk, Bobby, Alfred and Michael Parenteau, and Phil Parisian. Special thanks to all our family, friends and neighbours from Wabagoon and Selkirk for all their love and support during Addy's illness. In lieu of flowers donations to the Selkirk General Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
