JAMES ROBERT SADLER Peacefully on April 19, 2008, our husband, son, father, grandpa and dear friend, James R. Sadler passed away at the age of 66. After a recent move to Abbotsford from Winnipeg he suffered a brief illness with Alzheimers, but was happy and enjoyed life to the very end. Jim was born in Brandon, MB on May 3, 1941, and after a few moves to BC and SK, his family settled in Rivers, MB, until he moved to Brandon to start his working career. He retired in 2006, after spending 37 years with Wawanesa Life. His role as Life Branch Manager in both Brandon and Winnipeg, allowed him to meet thousands of interesting people from all walks of life. He enjoyed the challenge of sales and the development of new relationships with brokers and customers. All those who crossed his path will remember his key phrases of, How come? or What can I do? Jim is predeceased by his father Robert and his sister Linda Louise. He leaves to mourn his wife, Erika of 46 years; his mother Audrey; his sons, Richard and Gordon (Connie) and three precious grandchildren, Angela (James), Carla, and Scott. He is survived by his brother Bill (Barb) and their children, as well as his sister Kerri-Mae Mayor (Ted) and their children. Special thanks to all the staff and friends at St. Norbert and St. Adolphe personal care homes who were always supportive in his care. Funeral services will take place Thursday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m., Thomson In The Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice or you may just enjoy the memory of Jim by giving someone you love a hug. Life is short, enjoy it with others so they may enjoy the memories of you forever.
