Date of Passing: Apr 20, 2008Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
MARGUERITE LILLIAN KERR It is with sadness and joy that we say goodbye to Marguerite Lillian Kerr, also known as Bonnie or Sam. She died peacefully on April 20, 2008 at the age of 85. Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Murray in February 2008. Mom is survived by her daughter Georgine (Jim), grandchildren Wendy, Trevor, Kim, Aaron; son Ian (Rose Mary), grandchildren Katryna, Geneviève; and son Alan, and numerous friends and relatives. Mom's passion in life was playing the piano, which surprisingly she was able to do as her Parkinson's Disease progressed. She enjoyed teaching music to young children throughout the years. Bonnie and Murray often travelled, but her love was Victoria Beach, visiting friends, playing bridge, and sitting on the beach. Marguerite (Bonnie) was a very active longtime member of Westminster United Church. Mom was also active as a board person, plus chairperson at Middle Church Nursing Home. Mom was a social person who loved to open her home for parties, music recitals and bridge parties. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Music Festival, 2-88 St. Anne's Road, or the Parkinson Society, Manitoba Branch. CHAPEL LAWN 885 - 9715
