ARTHUR FRIESEN SCHELLENBERG Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on April 19, 2008. Art was born in McTavish, Manitoba on June 8, 1918 and will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jimmie (Judy), Jeanette (Jim Lockie), Garry (Jan), Roger (Fran), and Terryl (Doug Seroy); grandchildren, James, Kevin, Bryan (Shauna), David (Kelly), Donald (Joyce), Trevor (Leanne), Kyle (Michele), Cindy, Sarah, Gina, Kalin, Dane, and step-grandchildren, Brett and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Blade, Dana, Kristen, Payton, Simon, Sophie, Owen, and Javan. He is also survived by his brother Bill, and sister Helen Dueck. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy; siblings, Bertha, Annie, John, Martha, and Elsie, and great-grandson Josiah. Prior to Art's illness he enjoyed traveling, gardening, woodworking, and lapidary. Art also cherished his loving family and was proud of his family's accomplishments. The family thanks Home Care staff as well as the staff at the Victoria Hospital over the years. We also thank the staff at the Tuxedo Villa who provided the care in Art's final year. A celebration of Art's life will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Morris Fellowship Chapel, 223 Mary St. South, Morris, with interment to follow at the Morris Cemetery.
