RICHARD DEAN METRO February 10, 1979 April 19, 2008 It is with great sadness, we announce Richard's sudden passing on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the age of 29 years. Remaining to forever cherish Richard's memory are his parents Leonard and Karen; brother Len (Micheala); sister Leisa (Christopher); nephews, Jan and Steven; nieces, Destiny and Samantha as well as his Grandma Alleyn; Grandma Smith and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers. He was predeceased by his Grandma and Grandpa Metro, Grandpa Alleyn and Special Grandpa Bud and Uncle Barry. Richard's time on earth was not near long enough. Although he fought many medical battles in his life time, he always took things in stride. We knew all was right with the world when we were in Richard's gentle presence. Thankfully Richard was always surrounded by people who cared about his well being. Richard attended Faraday and St. Johns High School and then went on to the Academy of Learning. He worked one year at Wheelchair Services and then moved to the North West Company where he worked until his passing. On Wednesday, April 23, Richard's Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. A heart filled thanks to all the people who participated in Richard's life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada (Manitoba Chapter), 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3J2 or a charity of one's choice.
