RAYMOND GUENETTE Suddenly on Friday, April 18, 2008, Raymond Guénette passed away at the age of 62. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Lorraine of 26 years, children Shannon, David and Joëlle, sisters and brothers Louise Gentes (Chuck), Madeleine LaFrance (Ken), Yvonne Kjartanson (Ben), Richard and Michel (Angie), sister-in-law Leona, his mother-in-law Emma Trudeau and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, especially Irene and Larry Lipischak, who were also his best friends. He will also be missed by countless nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Thérèse and David, his sister Pauline, his brother, Gilles and nephews Daniel and Harley. Raymond was the big brother who was always there to take charge. His brothers and sisters will miss his guidance and love. Raymond was employed for the City of Winnipeg as a Transit bus driver for over 20 years where he made many life long friends. Even with split shifts and having to work weekends, Raymond always made time for family and numerous activities such as watching his kids' baseball games, volunteering his time with his son's Scout troupe and was a Mr. Fix It when Shannon needed help with her new home. Raymond and Lorraine loved to travel and recently visited the Maritimes and Mexico. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to the first response team and the Victoria Hospital. Funeral mass, presided by Father Marcel Toupin, will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at église Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens with viewing starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
