When I found out that I had been diagnosed with a potentially terminal illness my Zaida came to see me in what were the last months of his life. He knew he was dying but none of us did. We spent an amazing day together and when I took him to the airport, he sat me down and told me that I had to have hope, and keep living. When he died a few months later it hit me just how much he meant by that. It was and is his greatest gift to me. I have ups and downs and been very ill, but no matter what I always hope and his memory to see me through.
