CECILE MACKINNON (nee JUBINVILLE) 1922 2008 With her children by her side, Cecile Marie Therese MacKinnon, peacefully passed away on April 21, 2008. She was predeceased by husband Malcolm (1978) and is survived by her four children: Heather Bendell (Leonard), Shauna MacKinnon (Colin Kinsella), Michele MacKinnon (Jeff Mazur), and Alister MacKinnon. She also leaves behind her precious granddaughter Hailee Bendell. Cecile was diagnosed with Alzheimer's over 10 years ago. In 2000 she became a resident at Lions Manor. Cecile immediately adapted to life at the supportive housing facility, thanks to the lively and caring staff. Cecile was a frequent participant in activities. In particular, she loved to dance and the staff indulged her. Cecile could often be found dancing and laughing with staff and residents. Cecile was always very happy and a joy to be around. She was loved by all who knew her. As her health deteriorated Cecile was transferred to Lions Manor PC2, where she was cared for with great compassion during her final years. Cecile's children feel very grateful for the warm and dedicated staff at Lions Manor. Cecile's Lions' family made her final years very pleasant and they provided her with a comfortable and loving environment during her final days. We invite friends and family to join us in saying goodbye to Cecile on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street.
