Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL GEORGE RODD of Anola, Manitoba June 30, 1940 - April 20, 2008 Peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre, with his family at his side. Dan was predeceased by his mother and father. He leaves to mourn his wife of 47 years, Irene Rodd (nee Kalawarny); daughter Connie Seaman (Shaun); grandchildren Michael and Tristan; sister Julliene Rodd; brothers-in-law George (Mary), Alvin (Faye); sisters-in-law Stella, Kathy (Gary), Doris (Frank), Rose and numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was born and raised in Winnipeg and lived and worked in Winnipeg. He had many jobs but the most rewarding and fulfilling was his 30 years working in the Parks and Recreation Department for the City of Winnipeg. He had many friends at and outside of work and people were attracted to his large and friendly presence. Dan loved hunting and he loved nature and to be outdoors. A celebration of his life will be held at Balmoral United Church, Balmoral, MB, on Thursday, April 24, at 1:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews Darren, Kelvin, David, Edward, Todd, Arnold, Gary and Kenny. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
