Shannon was born on a warm, snowy day November 19, 1982 in Winnipeg. She lived most of her childhood in Selkirk. In her school years she attended St. Andrew's Elementary, Centennial Elementary, Selkirk Junior High, Selkirk High School (The Comp). She was active in T-ball, baseball, figure skating, rugby. When she moved to the city she began a career with the City of Winnipeg where she was employed at the time of her death. She worked various departments in the city and was currently working with Planning and Properties under her wonderful boss Barry Evenson; as well as recording secretary for her C.U.P.E. local. She enjoyed many roles in her life but in the morning of June 20, 2003 her most wonderful role began; becoming a mother to Riley. He was the full centre of her being and she dedicated her life to him. Other interests she enjoyed was coffee with her girls, football games with dad, days with nana and many wonderful times with her mom. Also involvement with local community groups, especially Riley's day care.
