CYRIL JOSEPH DUFAULT Cyril began his life's journey on March 19, 1956 in Ste. Rose du Lac. In 1964 his family moved to Dauphin, MB. Cyril graduated from Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School in 1974. He then moved to Winnipeg where he graduated from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Engineering. In 1980 Cyril began his career with the Canadian National Railway. While working for CNR he took opportunities to work in Montreal and Prince George, BC. In 1994, Cyril married his soul mate Lucille Fry. They returned to Winnipeg in 1998. Cyril was a curious, inquisitive individual with a thirst for knowledge. His many hobbies and interests included reading, cooking, radio and electronic repair. Cyril's journey ended peacefully on April 21, 2008 following a courageous battle with cancer. He inspired all who knew him with zest for life and his positive spirit. Leaving to mourn is his loving soul mate Lucille; parents Mathilde and Harold Weisensel; brothers and sisters Don (Amay), Claude (Doris), Eveline (Bob), Gerald (Denise), Emile, Armand, Claire (Eldon), Neil (Rachel), father-in-law Bill Fry, brothers-in-law Nelson (Betty), Tom (Carly), sisters-in-law Carol (Richard), Rose (Bob), Elaine (Perry), numerous nieces and nephews; extended family, friends and colleagues. Time is too slow for those who wait Too swift for those who fear Too long for those who grieve Too short for those who rejoice But for those who love, time is eternity A celebration of Cyril's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit or to the St. Boniface Palliative Care.
