Stefka was predeceased by her husband Steve; dad and mother George and Irene; brothers, Tony, Walter, Willie and Fred. Her passing is deeply grieved by her three children, Harry (Janet), George (Gail), Irene (George). She will be fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters, Olga, Sophie, Helen; brothers, Sam and Alex; also by in-laws, nieces and nephews. Stefka was born on December 12, 1915 in Vidir, MB and was a member of the Vidir Ladies Aid. Baba was a very loving and caring person who placed everyone's needs before her own. She was compassionate, sensitive and gave her love, her heart and her time unselfishly to her family and her friends. Baba's greatest talent was her cooking and baking. Unfortunately, most of her unwritten recipes ended with Baba. She was an avid gardener, who enjoyed her own vegetables and a variety of flowers. She also enjoyed sewing, embroidering and cross-stitching. She lived all her married life in Vidir where she and Steve farmed and raised their family. Stefka wished to be remembered as she was at her best before her health declined. In accordance with her wish, no memorial service will be held. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the care and compassion provided to our Mom by the nurses and staff of Seven Oaks Hospital and Arborg Personal Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arborg Care Home Activity. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home, in care of arrangements.
