Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNASTAZIA (STELLA) MCFADYEN (CHEREPAK) Peacefully on April 22, 2008, at the age of 88, Stella was called home. Stella was born in Zbaraz, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Tom; brothers and sister, Tadeus (Ted), Joseph (Joe), Katherine Schurko and Bohdan (Bud). She is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Cherepak. Stella leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews far too many to mention. Stella was an independent woman who left the farm for the big City, meeting her husband Tom and moving to Arizona and California. Stella had many interesting and exciting experiences in her life. Stella worked for Joe DiMaggio at his famous restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf where she met Marilyn Monroe. Stella travelled to Las Vegas occasionally, on one of her road trips to Vegas she met Elvis who stopped to help repair her car on the highway. Stella loved Cadillacs and had the opportunity to own a few. Stella moved back to Winnipeg to care for her Mother. Stella was a vibrant person who cared deeply for her family. She was generous, energetic and always had time to visit, her favourite outing was to Kentucky Fried Chicken, the more people the better time she had. Stella lived her later years at the Rosewood and Golden Links Lodge. The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Links Lodge for their care and compassion towards Stella. Rest in Peace Lady in Red you deserve it. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Church in Arborg, MB. Interment will be at the St. Anthony's Zabaraz Cemetery. Father Harry Chuckry officiating. Pallbearers will be Ken Cherepak, George Cherepak, Brent Schurko, Alex Schurko, James Mauro, Gus Mauro.
