PERCY DEVINS It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Percy Devins on April 13, 2008. He leaves to mourn Mildred (his wife of 57 years), Jerry and Bev Devins (son and daughter-in-law), Ricki Devins and Bud Gillies (daughter and son-in-law), his beloved grandchildren (Brian, Bianca, and Brenna Devins and Toby and Bailey Gillies), Allan and Miriam Devins (brother and sister-in-law), Caroline, Susan and Rachel Devins (nieces), Jeff Devins (nephew), and Sharon and Bob McFetridge (devoted cousins). Everyone who knew Percy loved him. He was a man of integrity, always ready to help family and friends. He lived a rich and colorful life. His wonderful stories will forever help us to remember him, always with a smile on his face. His granddaughter, Bailey, expressed our feelings of collective loss profoundly when she said, I've never felt so empty and so full at the same time. May he rest in peace. Services were held at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, April 15, 2008. Pallbearers were Brian and Brenna Devins, Toby and Bailey Gillies, Bernard Hornstein, and Robert Yusim. Honorary Pallbearers were Jeff Devins, Robert McFetridge Gregg Leiberman, Lou Billinkoff, Harvey Sawyer, Harry Vickar, Sid Standil, Jeff Moriseau, Darrel Hurd, Maurice Francine, Moyer Hurtig.
