Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHARINA FRIESEN Katharina Friesen (nee Neufeld) passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 24, 2008 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach, MB at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband Victor Jake Friesen in 1989. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Katie (John); sons, Harry (Donna), Victor (Jean), Helmuth, Peter (Diane), Jake (Brenda), Paul (Susie) and Henry (Val), as well as 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, Mary Wiens, Kathleen Friesen and Margaret Krahn, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, MB. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 30, at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Mennonite Church, 345 Loewen Blvd., Steinbach, MB. The family is grateful to Dr. Krahn and the staff of Rest Haven Nursing Home for their gentle and professional care given to Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5K9 or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
